Concept: Pegs - Booty Bandits
This is a base mesh for the character Pegs for Booty Bandits, a game project I have joined as a 3D modeler. The mesh is a high poly render done in zBrush.
The character Pegs is a blind-firing pistol-pegged pirate of Captain Goldwater's crew. Literally blind in both eyes, he fights by using his peg leg and arm as blunt clubs when all else fails, but normally they are fine as any pair of pistols.
This was my first real model made in zBrush, as well as my most detailed and correct model that I have made. This is a base mesh that was later edited by the project lead in order to better mimic the intended style for the game as well as finalize the clothing designs and cartoon-style of the face (namely the ears and hair).
No further modeling work on this model will likely be done by me, as the project lead has decided to change the game's characters to use 2D sprites instead of utilizing 3D models.
Final two image are the references used to make the model. The first is a hand-drawn t-pose image made by me, the second is the concept image made by the project lead. Other references involved observing the concept art for the game and other characters.
